Encouragement according to the Bible

How can one find strength and encouragement to move on in life the while
enduring difficulties and temptations? It is then we are looking at the
scriptures to find understanding in our circumstances and hope for recovery.
Quickly we see that the life of Job is a excellent example for us to get hope
and understanding in the midst of trouble and adversity, an other excellent
example is the life of David, and to see how he dealt emotionally with all the
difficulties, sins, and sorrows, throughout his life, keeping trusting and
repenting and relying on Gods mercy and grace to find comfort and strength in
times of need.
But David encouraged {and} strengthened himself in the Lord his God
Ps 138:3 In the day when I called, You answered me; and You strengthened me
with strength (might and inflexibility to temptation) in my inner self.
Job 4:3 Behold, you have instructed many, and you have strengthened the weak
hands.
1 Sam 23:16 And Jonathan, Saul's son, rose and went into the wood to David
[at Horesh] and strengthened his hand in God.
1 Sam 30:6 David was greatly distressed, for the men spoke of stoning him
because the souls of them all were bitterly grieved, each man for his sons and
daughters. But David encouraged {and} strengthened himself in the Lord his God.
Daniel was strengthened by a touch

Dan. 10:18 Then there touched me again one whose appearance was like that of
a man, and he strengthened me.
Seeing the examples of these heroes of faith in bible times, we too can rely
on Jesus who was tempted in every way we can imagine and He encourages us
to com to Him boldy.
Heb 4:16 Let us then fearlessly {and} confidently {and} boldly draw near to
the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we
may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for
every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].
All the topics at the Index are dealing with difficulties and try to give an
answer to our suffering, and to help us deal with our circumstances,
understanding is half the battle
